Welcome to ElisaKids, our childcare centre located in the heart of the Carnisse district in Rotterdam. We are housed in the Elisabeth school building at Carnissedreef 292. As part of KomKids Childcare, we have been providing trusted and professional care for children aged 0 to 4 since 2011. At ElisaKids we operate one vertical group for full-day care. This means babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and learn together in a single group. We believe it is important to focus on the development of each individual child. Rest and regularity are central to our approach. As children grow older, we support them during group play and encourage their independence. We consciously choose a vertical setting so that younger children can learn from the older ones and vice versa. For toddlers aged 2 to 4 we run three pre-school playgroups. These groups cater for children with and without a referral from the Centre for Youth and Family. Toddlers can attend three or five half-days per week. We use the Startblokken method, a recognised Early Childhood Education programme. Together with the Elisabeth school we organise regular toddler-infant consultations. This ensures a warm and smooth transition when your child starts primary school. Our outdoor area is a secure, enclosed playground where children can play to their heart’s content. They can climb on the jungle gym, slide down the slide, play in the sandpit or race around on bikes and scooters. They can also play football and basketball. In addition, we regularly use the school’s gymnasium. This gives children plenty of exercise and a chance to burn off energy. At ElisaKids your child’s development is our priority. We provide a safe and familiar environment in which every child can flourish. Our pedagogical staff are attentive to your child’s individual needs and work together with you to ensure a happy and steady development.
