Eigenwijsjerijk Buitenrijk Peuteropvang Kotten

Welcome to Buitenrijk, our toddler group located in Kotten school! We are a branch of Eigenwijsjerijk Childcare and have been providing toddler care since February 2022 in a familiar, rural setting. Our group is housed in primary school Kotten at Meester Meinenweg 14 in Winterswijk-Kotten. At Buitenrijk, we work with small groups of maximum 16 children, allowing us to give personal attention to each child. We are open Monday mornings and Wednesday mornings from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. During these mornings, we provide a safe and challenging environment where toddlers aged 2 to 4 years can play, discover and grow. Our approach is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where we give children space to discover the world themselves. We work extensively with natural materials and stimulate development through play and discovery. The children have lunch together with bread and fruit, taking into account any allergies or dietary requirements. The location has its own outdoor playground where children can go outside daily to play and move. We believe it's important for children to be outdoors a lot and learn to appreciate nature. The collaboration with primary school Kotten ensures a smooth transition to elementary school. As a parent, you can bring your child between 8:15 and 8:30 AM and pick them up again between 12:00 and 12:15 PM. We work with permanent childcare staff who know the children well and closely follow their development.
