KDV Eigenwijs

Kinderdagverblijf Eigenwijs is located at Meidoornstraat 2 in Weert and provides daycare for up to 56 children aged 0 to 4 years. We are part of Humankind, a nationwide organisation with more than 40 years of experience in childcare and child development. Our pedagogical approach is rooted in humanistic values: we believe in the optimal growth and flourishing of every child within a caring and respectful environment. We operate horizontal groups: separate baby groups (0-1.5 years) and toddler groups (1.5-4 years). All staff in the baby groups are certified baby specialists who closely follow each infant’s development and offer the nurture and security they need. The pedagogical staff in the toddler groups are trained in Early Childhood Education (VVE) and stimulate language, social skills and independence through play. Children enjoy a rich variety of materials and activities: building and crafting in the studio, climbing and running in our safe outdoor area. Nature and outdoor experiences are a fixed part of the day; children are encouraged to explore, feel and even get dirty. Care is found in the small details: a bottle when needed, a clean nappy, a familiar sleep routine in a quiet bedroom. Fruit, drinks and healthy meals are included; menus can be adapted for food allergies. Parents can opt for half-day or full-day care according to their work schedules. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30, 51 weeks a year. Eigenwijs is a place where children can simply be themselves and where parents can leave their child with peace of mind. We work transparently: parents receive regular updates on their child’s development and are always welcome for a chat. Together we make every day a happy day.
