Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer childcare Doerak in the heart of Makkum. Since April 1st 2025, we proudly provide daycare, toddler care and after-school care in our beautiful, completely new building at Gedempte Putten 24. Our trusted team of pedagogical professionals is ready every day to give children aged 0-4 loving care and personal attention. At our daycare we work in two age groups: 0-2 years and 2-4 years. Babies receive calm, loving care in a homely environment where they can sleep, drink and discover at their own pace. For toddlers we have created challenging spaces that invite them to play and explore. We stimulate development in language, speech, thinking, motor skills, play and social-emotional skills. Every child is unique with us and receives tailored guidance. Our spacious green outdoor playground is a paradise for curious children. Here they can play with sand and water, climb and clamber, and get to know plants, flowers and little creatures. We regularly go on adventures: exploring the dike and the surrounding area. This way children learn to discover the world around them through play. We work according to the vision that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Loving care, child-centered approach, nature experience and development-oriented activities form the basis of our approach. Our pedagogical professionals provide a safe and challenging developmental environment in which children are optimally guided to discover, play, have fun and learn. This way every child grows in their own Eigen&Wijze manner. Our daycare accommodates up to 47 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since March 1st 2025.
