Welcome to Doomijn KDV Staatssecretarislaan, located in Integral Child Centre de IJsselhof in Zwolle-Zuid. In this homely daycare we choose cosiness and growing together. We provide care for up to 46 children aged 0–4 years, divided into horizontal age groups so that every child receives the attention they deserve. Our bright, spacious group rooms open onto a large square with a challenging garden and playground. Here children can romp, build castles in the sandpit or discover plants and insects. We love being outdoors and go outside whenever possible. We also make regular excursions into the neighbourhood; exciting and educational. We work thematically. Throughout the year we cover various themes that connect with the children’s world of experience. Think of creating art with clay or paint, making music, sports and games, but also quietly listening to a story or looking at a book by themselves. Through play children explore the world and develop their talents. We use methods that pay attention to all areas of development: language, motor skills, social-emotional and creativity. Because we are part of an IKC we work closely with the primary school, playgroup and after-school care. This creates a seamless continuous line from baby through to group 8. In addition, practical facilities such as physiotherapy and speech therapy can be found in the same building, making life even easier for parents. Our team of experienced pedagogical staff – led by manager Manon – closely follows each child’s development. We see what a child can do and what they need. Together with parents we provide a safe and familiar place where children can be themselves and grow in a relaxed atmosphere where fun comes first.
