Welcome to Donkey day-care centre at Wethouder Heinsbergenplein 4 in Beek en Donk. At this location we provide day-care for up to 32 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our day-care centre has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 16 September 2022 and therefore meets all national quality requirements. Under the supervision of GGD Brabant-Zuidoost and the municipality of Laarbeek, we provide a safe, warm and stimulating environment where children feel at home every weekday from 07:00 to 18:00. At Donkey we work with two group rooms that are furnished according to the needs of young children. Each group has a fixed core group and a fixed carer, so that children experience familiarity and continuity. We use a horizontal group structure, keeping the age groups separated as much as possible. This provides peace and makes it possible to tailor activities and care to the child’s stage of development. Our pedagogical staff are trained according to the requirements of the Childcare CAO and are committed to a safe pedagogical climate on a daily basis. Pre-school education (VE) is part of our programme. We offer structured activities that stimulate the children’s language and cognitive development, so that they are well prepared for primary school. The rooms have separate sleeping areas and an outdoor playground, so that children can play, move and discover both indoors and outdoors. Parents experience our location as a second home: a place where their child is welcomed with warmth and leaves with a smile.
