KDV Don Bosco

Welcome to KDV Don Bosco, located at Gelderingen 60 in Steenwijkerwold. Our day-care centre is part of the Catent education and childcare organisation and offers small-scale, safe and professional care for children from 0 to 4 years old. We work in vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. This set-up creates calm and continuity: your child gets to know the same pedagogical staff every day and experiences fewer changes. Younger children look up to the older toddlers, while older children develop caring skills and language abilities. Brothers and sisters can also stay together in one group. Safety and trust are the foundation of our work. Our spacious indoor and outdoor areas meet all safety requirements and are designed to challenge children at their own level. We provide plenty of quiet moments and a separate sleeping room so that even the youngest can follow their own rhythm. Hygiene is high on our priority list: clean air, clean hands and clean materials are a matter of course. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child in his or her development. We tailor our activities to the child’s world of experience and match what you already do at home. Have you started toilet training? We will continue it right away. We closely follow each child’s personal development and share our observations during daily handovers and scheduled parent meetings. In this way we stay connected to your home situation and give your child the space to discover talents at his or her own pace. For practical matters we use the Kidsconnect app. Through this app you can quickly and easily cancel a day or request extra childcare. If you cancel at least 90 minutes before the start, the session is automatically placed in your exchange pool. You can register your child with us from 2 half-days per week; one day consists of two half-days of 5 hours each, which can be extended by one hour before or after.
