Welcome to BLOS daycare centre Billie Holidaystraat in Almere! We provide a warm and safe environment for children aged 0 to 4, where every child can develop at their own pace. Our modern building at Billie Holidaystraat 17 is specially designed to give even the youngest children space to grow, play and discover. Everything we do revolves around the child. Our pedagogical staff work according to the VVE programme ‘Startblokken’, which focuses on language development, social skills and self-confidence. We offer horizontal groups, bringing babies, toddlers and preschoolers together in age groups. This provides peace, structure and familiarity. Indoors there is plenty of play fun with natural materials, a reading corner, a construction corner and a creative space where we regularly do crafts and painting. Outside we have a safe, green garden with a sandbox, swings and a slide. We believe it is important that children also sleep outside, weather permitting. Our bedrooms are quiet and comfortably furnished. We work with fixed sleep routines and use sleeping bags provided to parents. For the very youngest we have separate baby cots and bottle warmers. Our meals are fresh and healthy. We serve a hot lunch, fresh fruit and healthy snacks. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account, such as vegetarian or halal. Parents can receive daily photos and reports via our BLOS app, so they stay involved in their child's development. We regularly organise outings to the library, the park or the petting zoo. Music and reading aloud are fixed parts of our daily programme. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and regularly attend training. We work closely with parents and believe open communication is very important. Together we ensure that every child feels safe, loved and challenged.
