KDV Deugniet

KDV Deugniet is a small-scale, homely daycare centre located at Van Iddekingeweg 192 in the Groningen district of De Wijert. We provide personal care for up to ten children aged 0 to 4. In one vertical group, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers grow up together; the youngest learn from the oldest and the oldest develop empathy and self-confidence. Each month we focus on a new theme – seasons, animals or transport, for example – through which we stimulate language, motor skills and social development in a playful way. Indoors you will find inviting corners with age-appropriate toys and materials; outdoors we use our secure garden every day, where children can run, build sandcastles and discover what nature has to offer. Even the babies are actively included in the activity programme, so every child is challenged at his or her own level. KDV Deugniet was founded by two enthusiastic childcare professionals with 17 years of combined experience. Our strength lies in our small scale: we know every child and every parent personally, allowing us to respond to individual needs and provide trust. We are open 51 weeks a year; only in week 52 – between Christmas and New Year – are we closed. For parents who start work early we offer an early service from 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. During a structured settling-in period of one to two weeks, children and parents get to know us and each other. We invite parents to stay for a cup of coffee or tea so that saying goodbye is familiar and calm for the child. With us, everything revolves around fun, safety and personal attention – every single day.
