De Zeemeermin

Welcome to De Zeemeermin, our daycare centre located at Aalreep 24 in Hoogvliet, Rotterdam. We are part of KindeRdam Kinderopvang B.V., an organisation that has been providing a safe, stimulating and development-oriented environment for children aged 0 to 13 for more than twenty years. At this location we care for up to 32 children from 0 to 4 years old. Since 1 September 2024 we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 207418585, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. De Zeemeermin works closely with De Zalmplaatschool, situated next door. This partnership enables a smooth transition from pre-school education to primary school. Our toddler groups run as morning and afternoon sessions. Mornings are from 08:30 to 11:45, afternoons from 12:45 to 15:45; on Wednesday the afternoon session finishes at 16:15. Parents can therefore choose a half-day programme that best suits their family schedule. Children at De Zeemeermin take part in our pre-school education programme (VE). Through play we work on language, numeracy and social skills that the children will need later in primary school. Our pedagogical staff follow the VE guidelines adopted by KindeRdam. We provide a safe, home-like atmosphere in which every child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace. Feel free to visit us for a tour and experience our approach first-hand.
