KDV Groningen De Wiardt

Welcome to Daycare De Wiardt, a homely KDV location of Kids First in the heart of Groningen-South. Our modern child centre at Van Lenneplaan 6 provides care for up to 32 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided over two cosy baby and toddler groups. We are housed in a brand-new building that we share with primary school De Tamarisk, the Forum and our own toddler care and after-school care. This unique collaboration gives children a familiar, continuous line from 0 to 12 years. With us, security, loving attention and development-oriented play are central. Babies sleep peacefully in two separate bedrooms with safe beds and underfloor heating. For toddlers and pre-schoolers there is a sunny discovery garden with water pump, sandpit, slide and a safe sunken sandpit where the very youngest can move freely. We work with the VVE programme Piramide, through which we stimulate language, motor skills and social skills in a playful way. Daily trips to the petting farm and joint exploration of De Tamarisk's school playground are part of the routine. Our pedagogical team consciously chooses toys and activities that match your child's developmental stage. Fruit, bread and nappies are included, so you can work without worry.
