KDV de Wereldster

KDV De Wereldster is a warm and welcoming daycare centre located in two cosy buildings on Pastoor Dominicus Hexstraat in the heart of Meerssen. We provide care for children from 6 weeks up to 4 years of age, divided over four horizontal groups—two in each building. The groups open onto a shared garden, allowing children to meet their ‘neighbours’ while playing and to experience a safe sense of community. Everything we do revolves around discovery, play and development. Our youngest guests explore the world in peaceful baby corners with soft colours, cribs and cuddly toys. Toddlers find challenging materials to build, hide and roll. Our romping room invites children to let off steam, while dressing-up, construction and kitchen corners stimulate imagination and cooperation. Every day we go outside: running, building sandcastles or simply enjoying the fresh Limburg air. We follow Early Childhood Education (VVE) using the ‘Speelplezier’ method. Through play, children are introduced to language, practise social skills and build self-confidence. Short trips in the neighbourhood—to the park, the baker or the library—are organised regularly so that the world can truly be experienced. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every weekday from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., with extended care available until 6.30 p.m. We offer both full and half-day care, tailored to your family’s needs.
