Welcome to daycare De Vlindertuin in Lelystad. Since 2004, we have been providing childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in our small-scale daycare center located at Ketelmeerstraat 90, in the building "De Pijler". We operate with two vertical groups where a maximum of 16 children are cared for each day. Each group is guided by three permanent, qualified childcare staff members and almost daily there's also a trainee present. Our vertical groups mean that children aged 0 to 4 play and learn together, while we follow and stimulate each child's development individually. Starting September 2024, we are launching a new toddler group. Children can transition here from our vertical groups or can be enrolled directly from 2.5 years old. This toddler group, which accommodates a maximum of 12 children, is staffed by two permanent, qualified childcare workers together with a trainee. The children receive focused preparation for primary school. Please note: the toddler group has no sleeping facilities. De Vlindertuin is a public and recognized daycare center that meets all requirements of the Childcare Act. For parents, this means you are entitled to full childcare allowance and can leave your child with peace of mind with our pedagogical staff. Thanks to our small-scale setup, the contact between parents, pedagogical staff and management remains personal and direct. We use a parent app through which you can easily swap days, request additional childcare and stay informed about your child's development.
