De Vissertjes

Welcome to De Vissertjes, a small-scale organic childcare center located at Rijksweg 51 in the heart of Groningen. We provide care for up to 34 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare center has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since November 26, 2021, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. At De Vissertjes, we work with a dedicated team of childcare professionals who are all passionate about children. Our team consists of Lotte, Demi, José, Ruurdina, and Inez – each with their own background and expertise, but all sharing the same passion: caring for and stimulating children with love. We operate in a combined group (0-4 years) and a separate baby group, using a vertical group structure. This means children of different ages play and learn together, creating a warm, homely atmosphere where older children can help and learn from the younger ones. Our location features a spacious outdoor area where children can play and explore to their heart's content. We believe in the power of being outdoors and therefore work extensively with natural materials and activities in our own garden. Our organic vegetables and fruits partly come from our own garden, allowing children to experience from an early age where food comes from. We serve daily organic meals and healthy snacks, tailored to the needs of young children. Our approach is designed to provide children with a safe and familiar environment in which they can develop optimally. We maintain a fixed daily routine with set times for playing, sleeping, eating, and changing. This provides peace and structure, which is important for young children. We do not work with fixed half-day sessions; parents can indicate themselves from what time to what time their child will be in care. The days and times that are scheduled will be charged, even in case of illness or vacation, with the exception of prolonged illness where costs stop after one month. We believe it's important that parents and children feel welcome and at ease with us. Therefore, we are always open to questions and consultation. Our notice period is one month, both for terminating care and for changing the number of care days. For extra care days, a request can be made one week in advance, provided the group size allows it.
