De Toverster

Peutergroep De Toverster is a warm, anthroposophical toddler care center located at van Gentstraat 106 in Nijmegen. We provide half-day care for children aged 2 to 4 years, exclusively during morning hours from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, five days a week during school weeks. Our location is housed within the BSO De Toverfluit building but operates as an independent toddler group under the umbrella of KDV De Zonnestraaltjes. At De Toverster, we work according to anthroposophical pedagogical principles. We sing together, bake bread, cook and play in a homely atmosphere with plenty of wood and textiles. Our approach is deliberately small-scale and focused on the development of the young child in a protective, artistic environment. We use as many natural materials and organically responsible products as possible. Our program is exclusively designed for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. We operate only during school weeks, which means we are closed during all school holidays. This requires extra planning from parents, but simultaneously offers a calm and predictable rhythm for the children. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding toddlers and create a safe, stimulating environment in which each child can develop optimally.
