Peuteropvang Prinses Margriet

Peuterschool Prinses Margriet is a location of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, located at Spaanseweg 40 in Delfshaven. We provide care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 in a safe and familiar environment. We work closely with Prinses Margrietschool to ensure a smooth transition to primary school. Our pedagogical approach is centered around learning through play. We follow the VVE programme (Early Childhood Education), with themes that connect to the toddler’s world—such as seasons, emotions, and daily life. This supports language development, social skills, motor skills, and independence. We believe every child develops at their own pace and offer activities tailored to each child. Our spaces are designed to invite exploration and play. We have our own outdoor play area where children can run, climb, and play with sand and water. Indoors, we have different corners such as a reading corner, building corner, and creative corner. We sing songs, read stories, do crafts, and use natural materials. Fruit and drinks are included during care hours. We offer morning and afternoon groups, giving parents flexibility. The municipality of Rotterdam provides 6 hours of free care per week for all 2-year-olds. For children with a target group indication, this can be extended to 12 hours.
