Peuteropvang Emmaüs

De Rotterdamse Peuterschool at Emmausschool Tidemanstraat is located on the ground floor of primary school Emmaus at Tidemanstraat 59 in the Delfshaven district of Rotterdam. We welcome toddlers aged 2 to 4 years in two horizontal groups that run on a morning and afternoon schedule: Monday through Thursday from 08:30-11:25 and 12:00-15:10. The City of Rotterdam provides every toddler from age 2 with six hours of free pre-school education per week; this can rise to twelve hours when a target-group indication applies. Our approach is outcome-oriented: we carefully observe and follow each child’s individual developmental rhythm so we can tailor activities exactly to his or her needs. Exploring, investigating and experimenting are at the heart of our programme. Our qualified pedagogical staff offer conscious play-based learning: we stimulate toddlers’ natural curiosity and help them acquire new skills step by step. Thanks to close cooperation with the Emmausschool teachers, the transition to Group 1 is smooth and familiar. The setting is small-scale and homely. We operate four toddler groups in the main building on Tidemanstraat, ensuring there is always a place that matches your child’s developmental stage. Parents are actively involved; short lines of communication and openness are key. Together we make sure every toddler starts primary school with confidence.
