KDV De Rhijnsberg

Welcome to KDV De Rhijnsberg, our daycare centre in the heart of Heerde. We are part of childcare organisation ’t Hummelhuis and are located in the De Rhijnsberg integrated school building at Rhijnsburglaan 7a, right next to primary schools De Spreng and Het Talent. With 64 places we divide the children into horizontal groups, so children of the same age play and develop together. Our youngest guests (0-1.5 yrs) join group Rikki, where we follow the home rhythm as much as possible. Toddlers (1.5-2.5 yrs) are in Bobbi and the pre-schoolers (2.5-4 yrs) in Dikkie Dik. Every group has a fixed team of qualified pedagogical staff, so your child always sees familiar faces. We follow a predictable daily routine: play, eat fruit, play again, have lunch, nap, drink and play once more. This recognisability gives calm and security. Outside there is plenty of room to discover. We have our own discovery garden and a vegetable garden in the shared inner courtyard. In small groups the children learn to grow vegetables and fruit and taste self-picked strawberries. Thanks to the gym in the building we can move around even when the weather is bad. For excursions we walk safely to the village, the park or one of the three playgrounds around the corner. Healthy food is important to us. We serve organic bread meals, warm snacks and fresh fruit. Does your child have an allergy or dietary requirement? We are happy to think along. All necessities such as nappies, wipes and sleeping bags are included, so you can bring your child without worry.
