De Rakkertjes

Welcome to peuterspeelzaal De Rakkertjes in Elim! Located at Carstensdijk 73 in the heart of the village, we provide small-scale, home-like childcare for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4. Our single vertical group brings all ages together so younger children learn from older peers and older children develop leadership and empathy. Each morning follows a gentle but predictable rhythm. We start with a group circle, after which children choose their own play area using picture cards. In this way they naturally practise language, early maths and social skills. Indoors you will find a cosy home corner, creative craft area, construction zone and sensory sand table. Outside we have a safe green garden where we love to explore, climb and run whenever the weather allows. Singing, music-making, story time and nature discovery are part of every week. Early-years education (voorschoolse educatie) is woven into every activity. Our qualified staff tailor experiences to each child’s level and interests, ensuring every toddler learns through play and starts primary school with confidence. Parents provide a packed lunch; we supply fruit and drinks and accommodate allergies or special diets. Daily communication with parents keeps everyone involved in the child’s well-being.
