Welcome to KDV De Pepermolen de Bijenkorf, our small-scale daycare centre in the heart of Oosterend on Texel. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and safe environment. Because our groups are intentionally small, we can give every baby, toddler and pre-schooler the calm, attention and care they need. Our centre is located in the village house De Bijenkorf at Mulderstraat 37. The space is bright, clear and equipped with different play corners. Children can move, explore and play freely with peers of their own age. We work with horizontal groups: babies (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) are in separate rooms, so we can tailor activities and care perfectly to your child’s stage of development. For the very youngest we have a separate baby group. This unique set-up on Texel offers peace and regularity. We change nappies in consultation with parents and follow your child’s own rhythm. For toddlers we use the recognised Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk. Through play we stimulate language, motor skills and social skills, so your child starts primary school well prepared. Outside, children can play safely in our own playground. We believe it is important that children get plenty of fresh air and learn to discover nature. We also organise short outings in the immediate vicinity of Oosterend. We understand that flexibility is important for families. That is why we offer pick-up and drop-off service throughout Texel. Swapping days is also possible and we are open from 7 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., including during school holidays. You can come to us for fixed, flexible or incidental childcare. Our team consists of permanent, qualified childcare workers who recognise, understand and challenge your child. We work closely with parents and keep communication lines short. Together we ensure that your child feels safe, secure and happy at De Pepermolen de Bijenkorf.
