KDV de Paddestoel

KDV De Paddestoel is located at Ranonkelweg 3 in Berkel en Rodenrijs and offers small-scale, professional daycare for children aged 0 to 4. Our facility is part of Stichting De Paddestoel, founded in 1993, and is known for its unique Paddestoel philosophy: together with parents, we help every child grow into a social, healthy and loving person who can confidently face the world. We use horizontal grouping: babies and toddlers (0-2 years) are cared for separately from preschoolers (2-4 years). This gives every child the space to play and develop with peers of the same age. There are 7 permanent groups: 3 baby-toddler groups, 3 preschool groups and one 3+ group. Each child has a fixed group and familiar pedagogical staff in their own room. During activities such as free play, circle time or outdoor walks, groups may come together, always under the guidance of their trusted caregiver. Our location has a fairy-tale atmosphere. Indoors you will find an art studio, a dance and music room and a teaching kitchen. Outside there are two playgrounds: an inner courtyard with a sandbox and climbing frame, and a front yard with climbable mushrooms. In addition, there is a rooftop terrace next to the baby groups, covered with soft artificial turf. We regularly go on trips: to our own petting farm, the vegetable garden, the forest, the library or a museum. Parents are always informed in advance and are welcome to join. At De Paddestoel, child development is central. We offer more than childcare: we stimulate every child’s motor, social-emotional and cognitive development. We follow GGD rules and the Childcare CAO. We also accommodate special dietary needs such as halal, gluten- or lactose-free and allergies. Every day we collect fresh bread from the local baker and provide healthy meals and snacks. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We are open all year round, including the summer holidays.
