Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf De Ontdekking, part of Kindcentrum De Ontdekking located at Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3 in the Oosterheide district of Oosterhout. We provide children aged 0 to 4 with a safe, homely environment where they can joyfully discover the world at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide each child in their development, paying close attention to every child's unique talents and needs. Within our daycare, we work with both horizontal and vertical groups. We have two baby groups for children aged 0 to 2 and two toddler groups for children aged 2 to 4. This setup allows us to align with each child's developmental stage. We maintain a fixed team composition so that children see familiar faces and can build a close bond with our staff. When a team member is absent, we always try to deploy another familiar face to ensure continuity. Our spaces are designed to challenge and stimulate children. We have a sandbox that encourages imaginative play and introduces children to concepts like hard, soft, wet, and dry. Additionally, we have a discovery garden where children can explore natural materials and be active outdoors. We aim to spend at least twenty minutes outside with the children twice a day. Indoors, we offer activities such as making music, arts and crafts, reading aloud, and cooking in our living kitchen. We work with Early Childhood Education (ECE) to build a solid language foundation, ensuring every child starts primary school with a strong base. Care and safety are our top priorities. We provide diapers, wipes, and care products. For the youngest, we handle bottle feeding and follow the home routine. Children receive a healthy lunch, fresh fruit, and plenty to drink. We accommodate allergies and dietary needs such as vegetarian, lactose-free, or gluten-free. Each child has their own cot in our quiet sleeping areas, where they can rest when needed. Our location is secured with controlled access, giving parents peace of mind. Kinderdagverblijf De Ontdekking is open four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. For parents needing care on Wednesday, we work together to find a suitable solution within our child center or at one of our partner locations. We value parental involvement in their child's development. Through our parent app, we keep you updated on daily experiences and enable easy communication with our team. Together, we ensure your child develops optimally in an environment that feels like a second home.
