Cosiness and growing in green surroundings – that sums up daycare De Markies in a nutshell. At our centre we do almost everything together! And we are surrounded by greenery; life here is good. There is always plenty to do and discover. Children love it and, more importantly, they thrive on it. Our small-scale, homely centre is a pleasant place to be. Indoors there is space to move around, do crafts, sing together and, of course, share meals and drinks. We sit cosily around the table, chatting and listening to each other’s stories. Do we also have fun outside? Absolutely! Around the building there is lots of room to play: a fine square for running and racing, a garden for digging and discovering plants and little creatures, trees and bushes for hiding behind. And yes, getting dirty is allowed – that’s the best part! Whenever we feel like exploring the wider world, we simply go! Together we visit the library or pop to the market for some shopping. We love being outdoors and playing in green spaces – it’s wonderful! Whatever we do today is chosen by the children themselves, and tomorrow they may choose something completely different.
