KDV de Marinx

KDV de Marinx is situated in a quiet, rural location at Zwarteweg 13b in ’t Veld. We provide professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our centre is part of Kindcentrum De Marinx, allowing children to move seamlessly from daycare to the toddler play-and-learn group and later to the primary school located on the same grounds. Everything we do revolves around learning through play in a safe, homely environment. We work with two age groups: a baby/toddler group and a preschool group from 2.5 years upwards. In the baby group we apply elements of Emmi Pikler’s approach: rest, space and regularity are central, enabling children to discover at their own pace. We follow the seasons and tailor activities accordingly. For the preschool group we use recognisable themes that connect with early-years education, such as ‘the shop’, ‘the forest’ or ‘traffic’. Each theme includes activities like story time, crafts, bathing dolls, discovering what floats or sinks, and play in the learning corners. The corners are rearranged regularly to challenge children and encourage their own input. We focus on language development, social-emotional development, motor and sensory development, creative development and early numeracy. Outdoors, KDV de Marinx has a large, green garden with hills to climb, an insect hotel and fruit trees. Children can run, climb and explore to their heart’s content. We pick our own apples and turn them into jam. From the garden the children look out over the fields and sometimes see a tractor passing by. We play outside daily or use the school gym. Our qualified staff specialise in caring for young children. They provide warm, professional care and pay close attention to each individual child. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme to give children the best possible start through play.
