KDV De Kleine Wildernis

Welcome to KDV De Kleine Wildernis, our warm and welcoming daycare centre in the Carnisselande district of Barendrecht. We are part of Norlandia Childcare and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and secure environment. Our daycare is located in a dedicated wing of primary school De Trinoom, and together with the school and BSO De Wildernis, we form a Child Centre. This creates a familiar and smooth transition to primary education. At De Kleine Wildernis, we believe in the power of independence and discovery. We follow the Montessori approach: ‘Help me to do it myself!’ Each child is given the space to grow and develop at their own pace. Our experienced pedagogical staff guide children individually and offer activities tailored to their interests and developmental stage. We place great emphasis on outdoor play, nature exploration, and creative expression. In our garden, children can run wild, garden, and discover the world around them through play. We offer flexible childcare options, both 46 and 52 weeks per year, and work closely with parents to provide personalised care. Our location is small-scale and manageable, with a maximum of 31 childcare places divided into horizontal groups. This creates a calm and safe environment where every child feels at home.
