In the heart of Amsterdam, just a stone's throw from Prinseneiland, you will find De Kleine Prins daycare. We are located in a beautiful historic school building at Nieuwe Teertuinen 17A. De Kleine Prins is situated on the ground floor, where former classrooms have been transformed into atmospheric, bright group spaces. Artists work in studios on the upper floors, giving our location a special and creative atmosphere. We provide small-scale care for up to 36 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our three horizontal groups are carefully structured: a baby group for children from 3 months to 1.5 years, a toddler group from 1.5 to 2.5 years, and a preschool group from 2.5 to 4 years. Each group is spaciously designed with plenty of play and discovery opportunities. Extra play space has been created in the monumental hallway for the children. Our large, enclosed outdoor playground of 220 m² borders all groups. Whenever the weather permits, the children go outside to play and explore. We have a vegetable garden where the children actively participate in planting, caring for and harvesting. Imagination and nature experience are central to our outdoor space. We are located right in the neighborhood and the children notice this. Our preschoolers regularly visit nursing home De Rietvinck to sing together with the residents. During Children's Book Week, writers and illustrators from the neighborhood come to read aloud. For an outing, we visit the De Dierencapel petting zoo on Bickersgracht. This connection with the surroundings makes our care special and educational.
