KDV De Kleine Johannes

De Kleine Johannes is a small-scale Waldorf-inspired daycare centre in Leeuwarden, welcoming up to fourteen children from 0 to 4 years. Our work is guided by anthroposophical principles: daily life follows a calm, rhythmic structure that gives children security and space for imagination. Mornings begin with singing and storytelling, followed by free play in homelike rooms or in our large natural garden. Baking bread, seasonal crafts, puppetry and gardening are part of the weekly rhythm. When weather allows, babies nap outdoors in traditional prams; indoors we provide a quiet sleep room with natural materials. Organic, vegetarian meals and snacks are served, with allergy-friendly options available. Diapers, wipes and natural care products are included. We operate as one vertical group, allowing children of mixed ages to grow and learn together. Opening hours are 7:00-18:15, half-day care is possible. Enrolment is handled by Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland.
