Welcome to KDV De Kindertuin, located at a quiet spot on Langelaan 4A in Surhuisterveen. We are part of TIKO kinderopvang and have been providing trusted and professional daycare for children aged 0 to 4 since 1999. Our childcare centre features four homely and atmospheric groups: the Kikkerplons, the Kwetternest, the Vlinderhofje and the Eekhoorntjes. Each group is tailored to the age and developmental stage of the children, ensuring every child has the space to grow in a safe and secure environment. At De Kindertuin, we follow a clear pedagogical vision that aligns with the needs of young children. We provide a predictable daily structure centred around play, discovery and development. Our pedagogical staff closely monitor each child’s progress and adapt activities and guidance accordingly. We use themes that connect with the children’s world and provide materials that encourage imaginative play and creative expression. We also offer early childhood education (VVE), preparing children for primary school in a playful way. Our outdoor area is richly equipped with natural play elements, a sandbox, a water play area and plenty of space to run and play. We believe it is important for children to go outside daily, so they can experience, explore and move in the fresh air. The garden is safely enclosed and offers ample shade and shelter. We value good communication with parents. There is time for a personal conversation every day when dropping off and picking up your child. We also use a parent portal where you can find photos and short reports about your child’s experiences. We offer flexible childcare options, including full and half days, and have generous opening hours from 07:00 to 18:00. Warm meals, fruit and drinks are included, and we accommodate any food allergies or dietary requirements. In short: at KDV De Kindertuin, your child is at the centre.
