Welcome to kdv De Kinderkorf and pov Engel en Bengel, located at Gengske 5 in the heart of Millingen aan de Rijn. We are proud to be part of Stichting Humankind, a national organization with over 40 years of experience in child development and childcare. At our location, children aged 0 to 4 flourish in a safe, warm and stimulating environment. Our facility offers space for up to 78 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since February 27, 2012 (LRK: 159384990). We operate with a horizontal group structure, organizing children into age-specific groups: babies, toddlers and preschoolers. This ensures peace, structure and an optimal developmental setting for every child. At De Kinderkorf, learning through play is central. We offer a wide range of activities including music, arts and crafts, outdoor play and nature exploration. Our children regularly go on excursions: to the dike, the water, the farm with animals or simply through the village. These outings foster curiosity, social development and a connection with the environment. We are a recognized VVE location (preschool education), which means we implement a targeted program that stimulates language, numeracy and social skills in toddlers. Every five weeks, a new theme is introduced with varying activities, songs and stories, always tailored to the child’s developmental stage. Healthy food and drinks are included. We accommodate allergies and dietary preferences, ensuring a varied and nutritious offering. Half-day care is also available, giving parents flexibility to choose what best suits their family situation. Our pedagogical staff are professionally trained and work according to Humankind’s humanistic vision: every child is unique and deserves the space to grow and flourish at their own pace.
