KDV de Hoeve

Welcome to KDV de Hoeve, our daycare centre located at Naardermeerstraat 151 in Berkel en Rodenrijs. We are part of Stichting De Paddestoel and provide care for 106 children aged 0 to 4 years. The location has a rural character and spacious layout with seven core groups: three baby-toddler groups, three preschool groups and one 3+ group. This horizontal grouping means children play with peers of the same age, contributing to a safe and predictable group rhythm. Outside we have a large patio with sandbox, discovery hill and covered play area. Additionally there is an artificial grass field, an orchard and our own children's farm. Animals are an integral part of our daily experience: children learn to care for rabbits, chickens and other farm animals while playfully discovering nature. Our vegetable garden also offers countless discoveries; from sowing to harvesting and then cooking together in the teaching kitchen. A unique feature of our offering is the instruction swimming pool. In our heated pool, children become familiar with water from a young age and develop important motor skills. Lessons are provided by certified swimming instructors and tailored to the child's age and development. Creative development takes place in our studio where we work with various materials and techniques. We sing, dance and make music in our dance/music hall. We regularly organise outings to playground de Kievit, the beach, the forest or the library. Parents are always informed in advance and can join trips when possible. Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to give your child the care and attention they deserve. We believe every child is unique and adapt our guidance accordingly. The upbringing you provide at home is continued on the days your child is with us, so you can entrust your child to us with peace of mind. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 18:30. We are open all year round, including summer holidays. For meals we provide fresh bread from the local baker, healthy snacks and accommodate all dietary requirements.
