De Hoeksteen

Welcome to De Hoeksteen in Rijssen, a warm toddler care location operated by KOSMO, located in the church center De Hoeksteen in the Braakmanslanden neighborhood. We provide toddler care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in a homely environment where play and development are central. Our spacious group rooms feature various play corners where children can play and discover undisturbed. The home corner, construction corner and reading corner invite imaginative play. We work with diverse creative materials through which toddlers can develop their creativity. Twice daily we come together in a circle. During these moments we eat fruit together, have drinks, sing songs, play games and read aloud. These gatherings are important for social development and language stimulation. Our outdoor space is the large playground of Constantijnschool, right next to our location. Here children can build sandcastles in the sandbox and climb and clamber on play equipment. Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine. We work with Early Childhood Education (VE) following the Uk & Puk methodology. This proven method stimulates development in speech and language, social-emotional skills and motor skills. Themes connect to the world of experience of young children. Children with a VE referral from the consultation bureau receive two additional half-days, reimbursed by the municipality of Rijssen-Holten. Our pedagogical staff provide each toddler with the personal attention needed for safe and stimulating development. We find it important that children feel welcome and safe with us.
