KDV De Harlekijn

Welcome to childcare centre De Harlekijn, located at Hoflaan 39 in the heart of Leersum. We are a small-scale organisation that has been providing childcare for children aged 0 to 4 with dedication and pleasure for over 20 years. At De Harlekijn, everything revolves around a safe, familiar environment in which every child is given the space to grow and flourish at their own pace. Our day-care centre consists of three horizontal groups: Koekiemonster (0-1 years), Poeh (1-2 years) and Nijn (2-4 years). Each group has room for a maximum of 16 children, allowing us to guarantee personal attention. De Harlekijn’s pedagogical staff are ready every day to create interactive (learning) moments. We work with themes such as seasons, animals and emotions, using books, music and creative activities. The toddler group (2½-4 years) is available every morning, specially designed for toddlers’ development with a preparatory programme for primary school. Our spacious indoor and outdoor area is set up as a challenging world of discovery. Children can play to their heart’s content in the sandpit, build huts or make sandcastles together. We go outside almost every day, where children can explore nature and enjoy plenty of exercise. We also regularly organise short outings in the neighbourhood, such as a visit to the library or a playground. At De Harlekijn, we believe it is important that parents can bring their child with peace of mind. That is why we keep parents informed of daily experiences through our parent app. We offer a fixed and familiar daily routine, including food, drinks and nappies. For the very youngest, we provide bottle feeding and ensure a quiet sleeping environment. For children with allergies or special dietary requirements, we have taken appropriate measures.
