KDV De Elfenboom

Welcome to KDV De Elfenboom, located at Willandstraat 7 in the heart of Berghem. We are a small-scale daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 play, discover and grow together in one vertical group. Our homely premises, housed in the Scouting Berghem building, provide a warm environment where brothers and sisters can stay in sight of each other and parents immediately feel at home. At De Elfenboom everything revolves around trust and wonder. We work with one group of up to 16 children, so every child receives the attention they deserve. Our experienced pedagogical staff tailor activities to your child’s rhythm. Babies have their own cosy corner for sleeping and playing, while toddlers and pre-schoolers can romp to their heart’s content in our large, green garden. We go outside every day: cycling, climbing, digging in the sand or simply running around. We also make regular trips to the playground, the library or visit the grandmas and grandpas of the Wilberthof. Our approach is playful and natural. We sing, dance, do arts and crafts and read aloud. We cook and bake healthy snacks together, learning about tastes and smells through play. You can easily follow your child’s development via our own app: every milestone, every smile is shared with you. We also offer pre-school education (VVE), so your child learns through play and gets a flying start at primary school. KDV De Elfenboom is there for your family. We offer flexible daycare days, half-days are possible and we work with a close-knit team that knows you and your child personally.
