De Eestroom (peuteropvang 2-4 jaar)

Welcome to De Eestroom, our toddler care centre for children aged 2 to 4 at Droppingsstraat 2 in Leeuwarden. We are part of Kindcentrum de Eestroom and provide care in a dedicated room inside the multifunctional centre Het Mozaïek. With a maximum of 12 children per group, we offer a clear, safe environment where every child has room to grow. Our playgroup runs three mornings a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 08:30 to 12:00. During school holidays we are closed. A fixed daily rhythm creates calm and clarity, boosting toddlers’ self-confidence. Central to our programme is pre-school education using the Uk & Puk method, which playfully stimulates language development, independence and exploration of the immediate surroundings. We work closely with the primary school within the Integral Child Centre. Each week a dance teacher and a language-theatre teacher visit to provide short, age-appropriate activities that link to Uk & Puk. This cooperation ensures a smooth transition to Year 1. Our pedagogical staff follow the Peaceful School approach: we teach toddlers that they matter, that we work together and that differences are fun. We solve conflicts together so every child feels seen and heard. Parents are always welcome. We regularly organise open mornings, activity and coffee mornings and keep you informed through social media. Together we create a warm, safe place where your toddler enjoys coming and grows step by step towards the reception class.
