De Dijkgraaf

De Dijkgraaf is a small-scale daycare centre located in a characteristic former farmhouse on the edge of the Noord-West residential area in Wageningen. Our location at Johan Buziaustraat 3 offers a homely and safe environment where up to 34 children aged 0 to 4 are cared for. We believe in the power of a natural environment. The daycare has a large, enclosed outdoor play area with fruit trees where children can play and explore freely. Adjacent to our garden, chickens, turkeys and goats roam around – animals that not only create a special atmosphere, but also provide valuable learning moments about care, respect for nature and developing empathy. At De Dijkgraaf, healthy nutrition is central. We serve only organic food and drinks, fresh and carefully prepared. Our nutritional principles align with a conscious lifestyle and contribute to the health and development of every child. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The daycare is open all year round, except for the week in which Christmas falls and the week in which New Year falls. We are closed on nationally recognised public holidays, the day after Ascension Day and the day on which we celebrate Sinterklaas together with the children and parents. On the last Friday before Christmas, there is a Christmas drink for all families from 4:00 PM onwards. De Dijkgraaf is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 376189460, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. We meet all national quality requirements and are under the supervision of the GGD Safety and Health Region Gelderland-Midden.
