KDV De Blokkendoos

Welcome to KDV De Blokkendoos, located in BMV De Vilgaard at Schandeloseweg 1b in the heart of Velden. We are part of the Stichting Kinderopvang Arcen, Lomm en Velden (SKOALV) and have provided trusted, professional childcare for up to 84 children aged 0–4 since 2015. Our site is purpose-built for young children: secure baby and toddler rooms, a dedicated nap area and a rich, green outdoor playground where children can move freely and explore the world around them. We follow a clear pedagogical policy that matches each child’s developmental stage. Every day we use the Uk & Puk programme to work purposefully on language, social-emotional, motor and sensory development. This means we sing songs at the table, read picture books, craft, puzzle and organise circle-time activities. Outdoor play is also part of the routine: running, climbing, discovering sand and water – all at a safe distance and under the guidance of qualified, familiar pedagogical staff who approach every child at his or her own pace. Our care is practical and complete: nappies, wipes and bottle feeding are included, as well as a healthy packed lunch and fresh fruit. We accommodate allergies and special dietary needs and tailor meals and care to what your child requires. Each day includes a rest period in our separate sleep room, so even the youngest can recharge. Half-day care is available for parents who need it, and we offer pre-school education (VE) so children can gently become accustomed to a primary-school setting through play. In short, KDV De Blokkendoos is a safe second home where children can develop at their own pace while parents work or study with peace of mind.
