Welcome to KDV De Aap uit de Mouw, our daycare center located at Rotterdamseweg 51 in the heart of Delft. We are part of De Lange Keizer, an organization with over 25 years of experience in childcare. Our facility is situated on the ground floor of the same building that houses the De Lange Keizer office, creating a strong connection between policy and practice. At De Aap uit de Mouw, we follow the educational principles of Montessori, Jenaplan, and Reggio Emilia. We believe that children aged 0 to 4 develop best when they can discover and explore on their own. Our spaces are designed with natural materials and open-ended play opportunities. A blue cloth might be the sea one day and serve as a tent or wedding dress the next. We continuously seek new and challenging materials, often replacing traditional toys with creative solutions. Our green educator regularly visits to conduct nature and recycling activities with the children. We grow plants and make bird feeders and seed strings. With the right clothing, any weather is good weather - we have rain boots ready and ask parents to provide a spare set of clothes so children can play outside to their heart's content. During holidays, we love to take day trips to the forest or beach. We work with horizontal groups, where babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are cared for in separate age groups. This allows us to optimally track and stimulate each child's development. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding young children and create a safe and familiar environment where every child can flourish. KDV De Aap uit de Mouw is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We offer both full and half-day care, tailored to parents' needs. Our location on the edge of Delft's city center makes us easily accessible and provides ample opportunities for outings in the immediate vicinity.
