KDV Bouwman

Welcome to KDV Bouwman, located at Wilhelminalaan 20 in Kampen. Our daycare is part of IRIS Kindcentrum Bouwman, where childcare and education go hand in hand. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a safe, homely environment where every child feels welcome and seen. Our pedagogical staff work from a Christian identity. We teach children that they may trust in God, in others and in themselves. Through play, children explore the world around them. We spark their curiosity and help them stand positively in the world. Together with parents and caregivers, we create a warm and stable foundation. At KDV Bouwman we work with horizontal groups. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers are separated, allowing us to optimally support the development of each age group. We offer preschool education (VVE), stimulating children's language and cognitive development. We use themes, songs, books and creative activities. Music and movement are fixed parts of our daily routine. We love being outdoors. In dry weather we play in our own garden. We take walks through the neighborhood and regularly go on excursions. We also offer quiet moments in our separate sleeping areas. For the youngest we have playpens, bouncy chairs and a cuddle corner. For toddlers and preschoolers there is a large area for building, playing and discovering. We provide a predictable daily structure with fixed moments for playing, eating, sleeping and changing. We work with a pedagogical policy focused on attention, security and structure. Our staff are qualified and regularly attend training. We do not use an app, but speak to parents personally at drop-off and pick-up. We believe it's important for parents to stay involved and therefore regularly organize parent meetings and activities.
