KDV Leeuwarden Bernestate

Welcome to KDV Bernestate, our daycare centre located at Kalverdijkje 77d in Leeuwarden. We are part of Kids First Childcare and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our location is situated next to the Kalverdijkje Sports Centre and features a large, challenging discovery garden with chickens. We believe it's important that children can go outside every day to play and explore nature. The garden offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and nature experiences. At KDV Bernestate, we work with horizontal groups. We have two baby groups (0-2 years), two toddler groups (2-4 years), and a play and learn group (2-4 years). This arrangement ensures peace and overview, with each age group receiving the attention it needs. The groups are small and manageable, so your child quickly becomes familiar with the pedagogical staff. Our certified pedagogical staff provide Preschool Education (VE) according to the Uk and Puk programme. This programme stimulates young children's language and speech development in a playful way. The activities are tailored to your child's developmental stage and contribute to a smooth transition to primary school. Thanks to our fixed drop-off and pick-up times, there is peace in the groups and we can give full attention to your child. We value personal attention and security highly. Our staff are ready every day with a smile and ensure your child feels safe and at home. KDV Bernestate is a bilingual location where both Dutch and Frisian are spoken. This gives children the opportunity to become familiar with both languages from an early age. We warmly welcome your child to our location.
