Welcome to KDV Berend Botje location Robbedoes in Opperdoes. We are a small-scale daycare centre where a maximum of 16 children per day find a safe and familiar place to play, grow and develop. Our homely building at Hazepad 4 is within walking distance of primary school De Wegwijzer and is fully geared to the needs of toddlers aged 2 to 4. At Robbedoes we follow the same pedagogical vision that Berend Botje applies nationally: children are given the space to be themselves and discover what they can do. We offer a rich learning environment in which learning through play is central. Thanks to our recognition for pre-school education (VE), children are already offered structured language, arithmetic and motor activities at a young age that fit in perfectly with primary school. Our horizontal group structure means that children come together in age groups. This allows us to work in a targeted way on development that suits their world of experience. The spaces are small-scale and clear, providing peace and security. We work with permanent pedagogical staff who know each child well and closely monitor their progress. Outside we have a safe, paved playground with natural play equipment. We go outside every day, because outdoor play is very important for toddlers for their motor development and resilience. When the weather is nice, we also eat and do crafts outside. For parents we offer flexible childcare days and times. Half days are possible and we adjust our opening hours to the working hours of parents in the region. This keeps the combination of work and care easy to combine.
