Welcome to KDV Berend Botje Hoorn Centrum, our colorful daycare center located at Lambert Meliszweg 1 in the heart of Hoorn. We take pride in our unique location right next to the IJsselmeer lake and within walking distance of the city beach. In our modern building, we provide care for up to 62 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided across six atmospheric group rooms. Everything we do revolves around growing, playing, and discovering in a safe and familiar environment. We work with vertical groups where children aged 0 to 4 play and learn together. Our three vertical groups - the Keitjes, Zeesterretjes, and Schelpjes - each offer their own familiar space with a maximum group size of 13 to 16 children. Additionally, we have a special playgroup called the Krabbetjes for children aged 2 to 4 years, where we implement Early Childhood Education (VVE). Our pedagogical staff are ready every day to guide children in their development. We believe it's important that every child feels seen and heard. That's why we tailor our activities to each child's interests and developmental stage. Our spacious garden and adjacent playground offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and discoveries. When weather permits, children even sleep outdoors under our special outdoor sleeping arrangements. We provide a warm meal and ensure healthy snacks. For the youngest ones, we naturally provide diapers, wipes, and all necessary care products. Bottle feeding is given according to the home routine. Our location is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 18:30, allowing us to flexibly accommodate parents' childcare needs.
