Welcome to KDV Berend Botje at Dominee van Dorpstraat 3, right in the centre of Gendringen. Our daycare is part of Stichting Humankind and offers places for up to 77 children aged 0 to 4 years. We are open from 07:30 to 18:30 and work with horizontal groups so that every child receives the attention that matches his or her stage of development. Our spacious, bright rooms are within walking distance of the village centre and adjoin a large garden where children can play outside to their heart’s content every day. We also have our own gym, so there is plenty of opportunity to move around even when the weather is less favourable. Activities are varied and age-appropriate: from toddler gym and dancing to music, to arts and crafts in the studio and exploring the nature garden. Language development receives extra attention thanks to our VVE status (pre- and early-school education). We read aloud, sing songs and play language games that effortlessly expand vocabulary. Peace and regularity are central for the very youngest. There are separate sleeping rooms with cots and cradles, and our pedagogical staff follow the sleeping and feeding routine from home as closely as possible. Bottle feeding, fruit and drinks are included; for allergies or special wishes we are happy to consult with parents. Parents choose whether they want half-day or full-day care. We value cooperation with parents. We regularly discuss how things are going and tailor our approach to what your child needs. In this way your child grows up in a familiar environment and makes the transition to primary school with pleasure.
