Abeltje is a quirky daycare center in Amsterdam's Old West where children aged 0 to 4 can truly be themselves. We provide care in a homely atmosphere that closely matches parents' wishes and children's needs. Our location on Admiraal de Ruyterweg has a capacity of up to 16 children per day in a vertical group, where children of different ages spend their day together. At Abeltje, we work with experienced childcare professionals who start each morning with fresh fruit for the children and offer raw vegetables at snack time. We provide vegetarian meals and accommodate food allergies. Our spacious outdoor playground offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and natural discoveries. Our pedagogical approach focuses on developing each child as a unique individual. We offer stimulating activities such as arts and crafts, music making, and language development. The vertical group care ensures that children of different ages can learn from each other. We have separate sleeping areas where children can rest peacefully and provide bottle feeding for the youngest ones. We believe it's important that children feel safe and secure with us. Therefore, we have a homely interior and work with familiar faces. Parents can choose half or full days of care, tailored to their needs.
