KDV Aan de Waterkant

Welcome to KDV Aan de Waterkant, located at Betuwestraat 1 in the Jeruzalem district along the beautiful Piushaven in Tilburg. Our daycare center provides care for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm and safe environment where discovery is central. We believe children can do so much on their own when given the space to explore the world in their own way. Nature and outdoor play are at the heart of everything we do. We believe it's important for children to play and learn outside as much as possible, even when it rains. Our location features a large garden and play areas where children can play with sand and water. Playing with water and sand is relaxing and stimulates all the senses. Children learn by touching, tasting, smelling and looking. They discover how water flows, what floats and what sinks, and how to build with wet sand. All of this contributes to their development of fine motor skills, imagination and self-confidence. For the littlest ones, we have special outdoor beds where babies can sleep wonderfully. Sleeping outdoors has many benefits: it increases resistance, provides rest and fresh air. While they lie dreaming, they can look at clouds and leaves and listen to the sounds of nature. Indoors, we also provide a secure atmosphere. The group spaces are warmly decorated with natural materials and colors that match the harbor theme. We offer free play opportunities that align with young children's world of experience. Our pedagogical staff are ready to guide children without too much direction. We carefully observe what each child needs and adapt to their development. We work with pre-school education (VVE) to prepare children for elementary school. This is done through thematic work, language development and social skills. Toddlers get the chance to craft with various materials, garden in our vegetable garden and talk about everything they see and experience. KDV Aan de Waterkant is a small-scale location with a maximum of 48 places. We work with horizontal groups: separate baby groups (0-2 years) and toddler groups (2-4 years). This provides peace and overview for the children and allows our staff to properly meet the specific needs of each age group. We offer both full and half-day care, tailored to parents' wishes.
