About this care
AI
Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of KC Oosterbeek, located at Pastoor Bruggemanlaan 10 in the heart of Oosterbeek. We are part of Kindcentrum Oosterbeek, a unique collaboration between SKAR childcare, primary school De Bernulphusschool and various partners. Our child centre offers children aged 4 to 12 a familiar place to relax, play and discover after school.
Our BSO is divided into four base groups, tailored to age. The Tigers (4-5 years), Panthers (5-6-7 years), Animal Bunch (7-8 years) and Butterflies (8+ years) start each afternoon with their own mentor. From there, children can freely choose from various activities, also outside their own group. We operate an open-door policy, where children decide where they feel comfortable.
As we are located in the school building of De Bernulphusschool, children only need to walk a few steps to reach the BSO. Our pedagogical staff collect the infants directly from the classroom. There is close contact with the teachers and the school's internal supervisor, keeping us well informed about each child's development.
After a hard day's work, it's time to relax. We start with cosy conversations and a cup of tea. Children can then choose from various activities: playing games together, reading a book, doing homework or discovering nature in our own outdoor space. Every Wednesday, we try to go to the library for a performance or to read a story.
During holidays, we organise fun outings. Think of a visit to the cinema, a magician's show, a museum or a workshop at another BSO location. This way, every holiday remains a special experience.
Our child centre is located in the green surroundings of Oosterbeek. We have a large school playground where children of different ages meet. In a playful and natural way, they learn with and from each other. The themes we cover connect to the school's themes, making the transition from school to BSO smooth.
We are there for a good conversation, for pouring a cup of tea, and above all for the children themselves. Together we create a place where children feel at home and where they enjoy going.Read more
