Welcome to KC LEEF in Kessel, where, together with Hoera Kindercentra, we have been running a warm and professional daycare centre since 2017 in the heart of our integral child centre at Merwijckstraat 16. Our baby group ‘de Stampertjes’ and toddler groups ‘de Krullevaar’ and ‘de Petteflet’ offer children aged 0 to 4 a safe, homely environment in which they can develop at their own pace. We follow the vision ‘Let me do it myself’: children are given space to discover, experience and flourish through meaningful, real-life activities that connect to their world of experience. Our pedagogical staff first provide basic security, after which we work from a development-oriented approach with themes prepared together with the children. We believe it is important that every child can be themselves and develop optimally. That is why we work with horizontal age groups, so that we can tailor activities to your child’s developmental stage. Our spacious outdoor playground invites exploration and movement; in fine weather, the youngest children sleep wonderfully outside in the fresh air. We regularly use the adjacent municipal outdoor swimming pool and the sports hall opposite our building, so that even the youngest children playfully become acquainted with water and motor challenges. Our offer includes pre-school education (VVE) in cooperation with primary school De Merwijck, ensuring a smooth transition from toddler group to kindergarten. We work with a continuous developmental line and tailor our activities to what your child needs. Think of music and dance moments, creative craft activities, language stimulation, nature experience and simple cooking and baking projects. We also regularly go on excursions in the immediate vicinity, for example to the local petting zoo or the shopping centre within walking distance. Everything is aimed at stimulating curiosity and developing social skills. Care and nutrition are in good hands with us: nappies and baby wipes are included, we provide bottle feeding according to the home schedule and serve healthy, hot meals and snacks. Does your child have a special diet or allergy? We are happy to think along with you. Parents keep in touch with the group via our Isy app and receive photos and daily reports.
