Welcome to Norlandia childcare KC De Ontdekking, located at Beatrixlaan 23 in the heart of Asten. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and familiar environment where your child is given the space to discover the world at their own pace and with joy. Our childcare centre shares the building with primary school De Ontdekking, allowing your child to become familiar with their future school environment from an early age. This makes the transition a lot less daunting. Free play is central to our approach. Children are encouraged to crawl, build, read and craft to their heart’s content. Whenever the weather permits – and that is almost always – we head outside for fresh air and exercise. We aim to spend at least one, but preferably two, periods of at least 20 minutes outside every day. Our garden offers plenty of space for free play and outdoor fun with new friends. Indoors, we have set up different corners that cater to various types of play. These corners are regularly enriched by our pedagogical staff so we can always respond to the needs and interests of the children. Our team is experienced, close-knit and stable, so your child will always see a familiar face. Each child has their own mentor who follows their development and well-being throughout the year. During the intake you will meet the mentor and once a year you will receive a detailed report during a parent meeting. Our pedagogical staff guide all developments and interactions so that your child can grow in a safe and homely atmosphere. Our motto is: "A safe journey of discovery in a homely atmosphere."
