Welcome to KC Berend Botje Drechterland, Schellinkhout location. Our childcare centre is situated at Dorpsweg 109A, right in the heart of Schellinkhout. We provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12. The BSO is housed in a spacious, homely building that can accommodate up to 36 children at a time, offering plenty of room to play, relax and discover new things. Our doors open as soon as school finishes; on Mondays and Tuesdays we start at 1.45 p.m. From that moment on, our team of experienced pedagogical staff is ready to welcome the children. We follow the principle of ‘learning through play’: children are free to choose their own activities while we guide them step by step in their social, emotional and creative development. Whether it is crafting in the creative corner, building with LEGO, playing board games or simply running around in our garden, every child can pursue his or her interests. At Berend Botje, children and parents are at the centre of everything we do. We provide a familiar place where children feel safe and valued, while giving parents the peace of mind that their child is in good hands. Our location works closely with primary school OBS Jan Luyken, located at the same address, so children can walk straight to us after school.
