Welcome to voorschool de Marcoen, part of Kindcentrum Marcoen located at Dennenlaan 71 in Dorst. We provide care and early childhood education for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in a safe, home-like and stimulating environment. Our preschool is part of Stichting Delta and works closely with primary school Marcoen, ensuring a smooth transition to primary education. Play-based learning is at the heart of our approach. We follow a consistent daily rhythm that is visually supported with picture cards, so children always know what to expect. The day begins with a warm welcome from our pedagogical professionals, followed by free play, circle time, and guided activities both individually and in small groups. We focus on language development and social skills, encouraging children to play together and learn from one another. Our team consists of dedicated pedagogical professionals who are committed to the development of each child. Our staff includes: teacher Susanne Weterings (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday), teacher Kim Priest (Monday to Friday), and teacher Jacqueline (Monday, Thursday and Friday). They are supported by our school management and pedagogical coach. Parent involvement is highly valued. We regularly organize activities where parents can participate, such as excursions, King’s Games and sports days. We keep parents informed through the Parent Portal, where photos and updates are shared. Additionally, we schedule parent meetings around the child’s third and fourth birthday to discuss their development. For children eligible for early childhood education (VVE), we offer a development-focused program. Parents who qualify for childcare allowance can apply through the Tax Administration. For those who do not, an income-based subsidy is available from the municipality of Oosterhout. You can register your child from the age of 1.5 years.
