De Kabas

Welcome to the childcare centre of De Kabas, located at Tuinen 28 in the heart of Franeker. We provide toddler care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for children aged 2 to 4, where learning through play is central. Children choose their own toys and naturally discover the world around them. Our pedagogical staff guide when needed and offer activities such as crafts, drawing, painting, board games, hide-and-seek, tag or skipping rope. During holidays we always organise something extra, like traditional Dutch games, a sports day or an excursion to a museum. We are a bilingual centre: both Dutch and Frisian are spoken. Through language activities we optimally stimulate children’s bilingual development. For children who need an extra boost we offer Early Childhood Education (VVE). Parents follow their child’s development via secure digital media and receive a regular digital newsletter with updates and themes. Feel free to visit for a tour or register directly!
